I'm pretty new to collecting and running HO scale trains and have alot to learn about the different manufacturers still. That being said I do believe this an excellent buy for at least the novice collector and possibly even those who have been collecting for years. Sounds, runs and looks smooth. Detail is very nice and it's a joy to watch run. Definitely will look into Model Powers other HO items.

I have heard from some MODEL POWER customers that model power locomotive run smoothly and reach high speeds, not to mention they are super cheap.
